The Lord's Church was founded by Jesus Christ ~30 AD (Matt. 16:18; Acts 20:28). A causual perusal
of the book of Acts shows that individual congregations spring up at various times and places where the word of God is preached.
Likewise, the Bible conveys that as a rule, things reproduce after their kind (see Gen. 1). The word
of God is the seed from which a new life comes when planted in the heart.
"Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God" (Lk. 8:11)
and. . .
"having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which
lives and abides forever" (1 Pet. 1:23)
When that happens in any area, a church (viz, a congregation of God's people) is built. The church
in Terrace Heights began September 4th, 2005 by a few families who live in the Yakima, Washington area. These members
were faithful Christians of the church of Christ in Sunnyside for the last several years but recognized the pressing need of a faithful church closer to their community.
